Process
The Fabric of Community is a process-based installation. Participants were asked to be involved in our process to achieve an organic composition of words, collecting a wide variety of perspectives of what home can mean to someone.

Word Collection
Participants were asked to share a word, thought, or memory associated with the feeling of "Home"

Painting
Graffiti often comes before gentrification, this effect is mirrored through the painting of "Home" on the banners

Destruction
The physical destruction of the fabric mirrors the physical destruction of homes and communities for redevelopment, often seen in the process of gentrification

Installation
The banners are hung in sequential order to spell out the word "Home" creating the community on fabric
